Trying to beat the winter blues

I talked to a friend of mine over the week-end. She was upset because a friend of hers passed away and she is facing some kind of a legal battle with an old employer. We had a few beers and talked everything out. She called me this morning to thank me for being there and being a friend. It seems I just happened to show up at the right moment on Saturday. I'm glad I was there to listen and to help. It got me to thinking about my own life. Although I'm not having any kind of major crisis's going on in my life, I just want to try to be more happy with myself. I guess it's just a case of the winter blues. I have gained a few pounds and it seems like I don't get much accomplished without pushing myself to get things done. I have heard other people saying the same things. I need to get on some kind of a schedule and stick with it. I need to think positive and be more up-beat. My neighbor lady is 85 years old and has a treadmill in her basement. She told me I could have it since she would not be using it anymore. I told John to please try to move it over here as soon as possible, because I need to GET MOVING!! We'll see in the next couple of weeks how well I do with my plan. Wish me luck!
